Mountain Biking - Wee Toon Trail

Beinn Ghuilean dominates Campbeltown's skyline and it has some great mountain bike trails and walks. What are you waiting for....

The Blue Trail offers easier cycling and fine views of Davaar Island and Campbeltown. Suitable for beginners & families this 2.7km trail is an unsurfaced forest track, with easy climbs and descents.

The Red Trail will get your heart pounding and test your cycling skills. Suitable for proficient mountain bikers used to off-road cycling this 2km trail is a little steeper and tougher with narrow (0.3m) track and technical sections. Challenging climbs and descents lead in to berms, boardwalks, moderate steps, drop-offs and cambers.

Walkers are welcome on the trails too - so if you're cycling watch out for walkers and vice versa.

Why not start at the bike friendly Aqualibrium leisure centre? It only takes 20 minutes to cycle up to Beinn Ghuilean from the centre.
