Football |
Football has
played a huge part in the Kintyre sporting
history and remains a popular past time for
many.
There are three
amateur teams in Kintyre - Campbeltown Pupils,
Campbeltown Boys and Tarbert who all play in the
Scottish Amateur Football League.
Campbeltown Pupils have enjoyed an illustrious
history and gained promotion back to the top
flight of amateur football in season 2007/08. |
Sailing |
With so much water
surrounding Kintyre it is little wonder sailing
is popular amongst the Kintyre residents.
Berthing is available at Campbeltown, Tarbert,
Carradale, Sanda Island and Gigha.
There are
established sailing clubs at Tarbert and
Campbeltown. |
